Research

The Society offers research services in response to public queries about historical personalities, places and/or events relevant to the City of Willoughby. Our collection contains historical images relating to the Willoughby area and information on our suburbs, industries, commerce, schools, churches, health services, community organisations, etc. In addition, our volunteers work closely with the Local Studies group at the Willoughby City Library, which has a strong collection of historical documents and images.

We have a small charge for this research service, namely $25 for an initial inquiry. However, we will also give you an Honorary Membership of the Society (valued at $20) for the remainder of the year. Any photocopying of documents etc. is at a cost of 20 cents per page. Photographs incur an additional charge.

Before remitting the research fee please make a preliminary inquiry as to whether we may have relevant material relating to your research Please email the society at: wdhs58@gmail.com or phone us at: +61 2 9410 3203

Please be advised that we cannot guarantee that a search of our records will uncover any material relevant to your inquiry. If this occurs we may either make suggestions as to other avenues you could pursue or provide a quotation for the Society to undertake further research.

For more detailed research inquiries, quotations will be provided on request.
